Sunaayy
It was 13 years ago that Sunaayy Foundation started as a Single Makeshift Setup working with a group of children from the surrounding areas of Vasant Kunj in New Delhi.
The Pilot Project ran for a few years working on
- 1. Thematic areas of education and human rights.
- 2. Empowering women and children of migrant labourers communities, the ones who are at the extreme low end of our society.
- 3. Providing basic education, healthcare and nutrition to children everyday at their centers (operational for four hours):
- a. Centers are located on the periphery of the concerned communities thus making them easily accessible to all.
- b. Centres are run by women from within these communities who serve to encourage and reassure parents to send their children to our centers where these children are taught, fed, looked after and cared for.
