Need to track the people not sending their children to school or who do not care if their children drop out after a couple of years.
Understand the socio-economic conditions and create a system whereby the right of free education reaches people’s doorstep.
Living in inhumane conditions in slums or JJ clusters or on the pavements and under flyovers or near construction sites in make-shift tenements.

Our Observations
Illiteracy: Illiteracy and lack of awareness among parents about right to free and compulsory education.
Lack of Access to Information: Poverty coupled with illiteracy deprives these people information about beginning of academic sessions.
Migrant Labour: Track migrant labour coming to city (even though it’s an uphill task) as this will help provide education to their children.
Birth Certificate: Inform school authorities that no child should be turned away due to absence of birth certificate (check for alternative age proof documents as mentioned in Rule 12)
Limited Seats of Neighborhood Schools: Limited number of seats available in neighborhood government and private schools.
Over-Aged Children: Issues faced by over-aged children even though there is a provision for special training of children.
Poor Infrastructure and Inadequate Resources: Lack of manpower resources in terms of number of teachers and infrastructure facilities.
